Dr. Ayelet Lahat, C.Psych.
Director, Clinical Child & Adolescent Psychologist
Dr. Ayelet Lahat is a clinical psychologist specializing in services for children and adolescents. She received a Doctorate degree in Developmental Psychology in 2011 from the University of Toronto and a Doctorate degree in School and Clinical Child Psychology in 2022 from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE), University of Toronto.
She received clinical training in treatment and assessment of clients with various presentations at hospitals, community mental health, school boards, and private practice settings across the Greater Toronto Area. She has research experience examining the link between shyness in early childhood and mental health problems (such as anxiety) later in life.

Services provided include psychological assessment, consultation, and evidence-based therapy with children, adolescents, and their caregivers for a wide range of mental health concerns. Her approach to treatment is driven by curiosity and empathy, mainly using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). She uses interventions that are developed collaboratively with clients and focus on a therapeutic relationship that fosters mental wellness.

When she's not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and dogs, exercising, going on walks, hiking, and cooking.

Dani Hazan, MA
Psychological Associate (Supervised Practice)
Dani Hazan is a Psychological Associate, under Supervised Practice by Dr. Lahat. Dani has a rich and diverse background in both educational and clinical settings. She has worked extensively in the school system, conducting assessments for Learning Disabilities, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Giftedness. Her work has supported families and educators in understanding students’ unique learning profiles and implementing strategies that foster academic success and personal growth.

Dani also brings years of experience as a special education teacher, with a specialized focus on the Deaf and Hard of Hearing population. Her commitment to inclusive education and accessibility has shaped her approach to supporting neurodiverse learners and those with sensory differences, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive in their learning environment.

In her clinical work, Dani uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to support children and adolescents with a variety of mental health concerns. She helps clients manage anxiety, worry, stress, sadness and fear, as well as build confidence and self-esteem, and develop healthy ways to express their emotions. Dani also supports the development of executive functioning skills—such as organization, planning, impulse control, and flexible thinking—which are essential for success at school and in daily life. In addition, she works with children and teens to strengthen their social skills, helping them form friendships, improve sibling relationships, resolve conflicts, and feel more comfortable in group settings.

Peggy Sam, M.Psy.
Psychological Associate (Supervised Practice)
Peggy is a Psychological Associate working under the supervision of Dr. Lahat. She has experience providing both treatment and assessment to adolescents and adults, and has worked with a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, negative communication patterns, perfectionism, self-criticism, life transitions, and ADHD. Peggy is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) and trauma-informed approaches. She brings an integrative, reflective and client-centered style to her work.
At Core Blossom Psychology, Peggy’s role focuses on conducting psychological assessments for adolescents.

Kate Wong, RP, MDiv
Registered Psychotherapist
Kate is an experienced psychotherapist working with children, youth, parents/caregivers, and famlies in community mental health and private practice settings since 2016. She uses an integrative approach in her practice and draws from a range of therapeutic modalities depending on her clients' specific needs, situations, and hopes for therapy. This could include elements of body-based and relational approaches, CBT and DBT therapies, and trauma-focused therapy.
Kate strives for genuine, authentic communication and can also bring a sometimes irreverent sense of humour to her work. She believes that therapy is a collaborative process which is grounded in a caring and respectful relationship. Kate will work with you to create a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space for you to explore patterns, challenges, and opportunities.

Jovita Ng, MSW, RSW
Registered Social Worker
Jovita is a welcoming registered social worker who understands that taking steps toward bettering your mental health is not easy. She values building rapport and creating a non-judgmental environment as therapy should be a comfortable space to learn, grow, and talk. Jovita holds a Masters of Social Work from the University of Toronto, specializing in children and families. She has experience working in hospital outpatient mental health, post-secondary education, and community mental health.
